Funded Childcare for 3 & 4 year-olds

From the term after their third birthday, until they start school, your child is entitled to up to 570 hours of funded early learning and childcare each year.

This is often taken as 15 hours per week for 38 weeks a year during school term time.

Depending on the provider, funded time can be taken between 6am and 8pm, for a maximum of 10 hours a day and at no more than two sites in a single day: as an example your funding could be split between a childminder, Nursery and an After School Club. There is no minimum amount of time that must be attended.
