Houses
Our four houses are based on the elements of Air, Earth, Fire and Water and all pupils and staff are assigned to one of the houses, with siblings being together in the same house. Pupils from each year group make up each house with older pupils working with younger pupils during house events.
Class Dojo points earned by pupils earn them individual awards (see the achievements section of the website) as well as contributing to their house totals. Each week, in celebration assembly, we announce the weekly totals for each house. At the end of each term, we announce the winning house for the term and the pupils in this house are presented with the house cup and enjoy a non-school uniform day as a reward.
Each house has two house captains who take on a leadership role within the house, having responsibilities such as choosing winning entries in competitions.
Pupils have opportunities during the year to win extra points for their house through completing tasks such as creating a book nook on World Book Day, being the best dressed on dress-up events, completing the most bounces in our FOTS Bunny Bounce, scoring the most points on sports day and creating the best house song in our singing event.
