Extra-Curricular Activities

Clubs

We have an amazing range of extra-curricular after-school clubs that teachers run, free of charge, for pupils each term. Pupils enjoy attending a variety of sports clubs for all ages plus clubs such as Cooking, Storytelling and Drama, Forest School, Arts and Crafts, Maths and Board Games, Languages, Computing, Sketching, Dance, Gymnastics, Coding and many more.

We also offer some paid after-school clubs such as Watersports at the local water park.

Club options are advertised at the beginning of Autumn, Spring and Summer terms and parents are invited to sign up for their child's club of choice. Clubs usually run for 9-10 weeks per term on various nights of the week. Clubs for YR,1,2 are 45 minutes long and clubs for Y3,4,5,6 run for 1 hour.

Music Tuition

All pupils receive a dedicated music lesson in our weekly curriculum timetable. There are annual events that showcase including a Christmas carol concert, Christingle, EYFS nativity play, KS1 and KS2 production as well as singing in the community.

To supplement class provision, we also offer private instrumental lessons as well as lunchtime or after-school music clubs that vary across the year. If there is an instrument you wish your child to learn (that we do not offer currently) please contact our music lead who will try her best to find a solution.

Instrumental Lessons

Individual or small group lessons delivered by a peripatetic music teacher

  • Clarinet/Saxophone/Recorder/Voice/Flute/piano – Tonia Price
  • Drums
  • Guitar/ukulele - Roi (Let’s Play Guitar)
  • Band experience – Jacques (Rocksteady Music School)

Usually, children wishing to learn an instrument generally need to be in Y2 or above due to the instrument size and weight (however there can be exceptions – please ask)

Lessons taught by individual peripatetic teachers require payment. The prices vary.  If your child is interested in learning to play a musical instrument, please contact the relevant instrumental teacher who will advise on cost and availability.

Be advised that availability is variable and that your child may be added to a waiting list.

Instruments are available to hire at a reasonable rate via the Gloucestershire Music Service. If you receive free school meals, it is possible that Gloucestershire music can cover the cost of lessons and instrument hire.

Prices correct as of September 2025
Tonia – £13 / per session
Roi – £9 / per session
Jacques - £31 per month
