Our School

Welcome to Cirencester Primary School, a vibrant and inclusive learning community at the heart of the historic market town of Cirencester. We are proud to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our Vision

At Cirencester Primary School, we believe in "Learning, Growing, and Achieving Together." Our aim is to inspire a lifelong love of learning and to equip our pupils with the confidence, curiosity, and resilience they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.

Our Values

Our school is built on a strong foundation of core values:

  • Respect – for ourselves, others, and the environment

  • Kindness – acting with empathy and compassion

  • Responsibility – taking ownership of our learning and actions

  • Aspiration – striving to be the best we can be

These values underpin everything we do and help shape a caring, respectful school culture.

A Brief History

Cirencester Primary School was formed in 2010 through the amalgamation of several local schools, each with a rich heritage and strong ties to the community. Over time, the school has grown and developed to reflect the changing needs of education, while continuing to foster strong community links and a commitment to high standards.

Our school is located on a historically significant site. The grounds were once part of the former Cirencester Grammar School, which played a central role in local education for many generations, eventually closing in 1966. The legacy of the grammar school lives on in our strong emphasis on academic achievement and community spirit. While the facilities have evolved over the years, the sense of tradition and educational excellence remains a core part of our identity.

Situated in a town with deep Roman roots, we are proud of our local heritage and often use it as a rich learning resource, helping pupils connect with their surroundings and understand the history that shapes their community.

Our Community

We are proud to be a community-focused school where staff, pupils, parents, governors, and local partners work in partnership to support every child. We value strong relationships with families and believe that a collaborative approach is key to our pupils’ success and well-being.

Looking Ahead

As we look to the future, Cirencester Primary School remains committed to providing a high-quality, inclusive education that empowers every child to discover their potential and take pride in their achievements.
