Break Times

Our lunchtime provision is full of exciting opportunities for pupils to develop their social, physical, creative, collaboration and communication skills. Our generous school site is divided into different zones offering different learning opportunities during the lunch hour. Pupils are able to choose the zone they would like to play in and can move between zones during the lunch hour playing with children from different year groups.

  • Creative Zone - activities include IPADs, disco area, building blocks, playground games and arts and crafts
  • Imagination Zone - activities include large sand pit and role play shed containing items such as dressing up, play kitchen and dolls
  • Sports Zone - activities include football, basketball and cricket
  • Active Zone - activities include trim trail, hoops, bats and balls, target games, skipping ropes
  • Forest School Zone - activities include den building, mud kitchen, construction materials and outdoor art
  • Free play Zone - area of the field where pupils can simply run around and play with their friends

We are very excited to extend our provision further in the autumn term with the development of our new Sensory Garden, which has been requested by pupils so they have a quiet, calm space to relax during the lunch hour. This zone will include a waterfall feature, willow huts for reading, weaving and a sensory path for pupils to explore different textures.
