Welcome to Year 1 - Wales Class
Miss S Hurst - Since becoming a teacher in 2002, I have worked in a variety of counties and schools before settling at Cirencester Primary School in 2007. I always knew that I wanted to work in Education as many of my family members are teachers, however the real drive was my own fond memories of teachers that had an impact on shaping me; and my positive and happy schooling experiences. I have a passion for guiding our future generations to acquire the skills to become happy learners as well as good role models.
Mrs P Curtis - I have worked at Cirencester primary school for ten years, and am currently a Teaching Assistant, predominately focussing on one to one support with children across a number of year groups. I am also a midday supervisor working over the lunch time period. The most rewarding part of my role is helping the children gain confidence in their abilities and building their self-esteem, I believe that supporting and praising children leads to more positive and longer term development of them. I have four children, two of which came to Cirencester primary School as did I (many years ago) so I have a long term affiliation with the school. Since working here I have made some great friends, who are all committed to the development of the children within the school.
Mrs J Cook - have worked for 20 years as a Teaching Assistant, primarily at Cirencester Infant school until its amalgamation with the Junior School to form Cirencester Primary School.
For the past 5 years I have also become the school's Forest School leader and take each class, for a one hour session each week, to our outdoor learning area.
I live locally with my husband and 1 of my 2 grown up children. We enjoy holidaying in Cornwall where we like walking the coastal path and watching the waves!
