Homework 

 

Reading - Your child will have a Reading Record Book,  this is expected to be in school every day especially Friday when we check them. We would like you to hear your child read a minimum of 3 times per week. Every time your child reads they will receive a team point up to a maximum of 14 team points (twice a day).  You will be able to record what they have read and how they have read to you this will need to be signed by an adult.

 

PE - We will have PE twice a week on a Wednesday and Friday. your child is expected to have the correct PE kit please see below for further information.

Information for Parents 

Uniform

We believe that the wearing of a school uniform and a smart appearance fosters a sense of unity, belonging and maintains our high standards.

Cirencester Primary School uniform consists of:

  • Red sweatshirt or cardigan with embroidered school logo
  • White or red polo shirt with logo or plain

  • Black or grey skirt, trousers, or shorts

  • Red and white checked dress

  • Black or grey tights (no leggings) or white/black/grey socks

  • Sensible, comfortable outdoor shoes in black (these need to be flat, no crocs or trainers, and please avoid high heels and platforms).

In the interests of safety and security, jewellery is not allowed to be worn other than a watch and small stud earrings for pierced ears. Long hair should be tied back.

 

In the winter months, unless the weather is very wet, our children will continue to have outdoor break times where they can run about and let off steam! Please ensure your child brings a waterproof coat to school each day.

During the summer months please ensure your child brings a hat to school and sunscreen.

 

Please make sure your child has a refillable water bottle in school with them every day (filled ONLY with plain water). Water bottles and replacement lids are available from the School Office.

Your child will be provided with a school water bottle and school book bag on their first day.

P.E. kit

 

All of our children will do at least 2 hours of P.E. each week. In the interest of safety children must wear the appropriate kit for all P.E./games lessons and sports clubs.

Your child will need the following:

 

  • A red or white T-shirt

  • Black shorts

  • Daps (for indoor PE)

  • Tracksuit bottoms , trainers and a sweatshirt for outdoor PE (please ensure trousers and sweatshirts are plain and are dark coloured)

  • Long hair must be tied back and earrings either removed or covered with earring tape (please provide this for your child)

     

Please ensure that all uniform, including coats, are named.
